Finasteride is used to treat men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and male pattern hair loss, also called androgenetic alopecia. BPH is caused by an enlarged prostate. Men with BPH usually have difficulty urinating, a decreased flow of urination, hesitation at the beginning of urination, and a need to get up at night to urinate. Finasteride will make these symptoms less severe and reduce the chance that prostate surgery will be needed. It may be used alone or in combination with other medicines such as an alpha-blocker to treat BPH. For men with hair loss, finasteride will increase the number of scalp hairs but will not increase the amount of body hair.

Finasteride blocks the action of an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme changes testosterone to another hormone that causes the prostate to grow or hair loss in males. It will increase testosterone levels in the body, which decreases prostate size and increases hair growth on the scalp. The effect of finasteride on the prostate and scalp will only last as long as the medicine is taken. When it is stopped, the prostate begins to grow again and the hair will be lost.

Finasteride is a medication used to treat male pattern baldness and the condition is also used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men who have had prostate surgery.

Finasteride works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that is found in both men and women. DHT is responsible for causing the hair follicles to shrink over time and this can cause hair loss in men.

Finasteride works by reducing the amount of DHT in the scalp which can then stimulate hair growth.

How does finasteride work?

Finasteride, a medication commonly used to treat male pattern baldness, works by blocking the conversion of testosterone to DHT. This process results in increased hair growth in areas affected by hair loss.

Finasteride, which comes in tablet form, is usually taken by mouth, once or twice daily.

The tablets come in an oral suspension (liquid). The dosage of finasteride depends on the condition being treated, its severity and your age.

It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and take it as prescribed. It is also recommended to take finasteride at the same time each day to maintain its effectiveness.

Finasteride is available in the form of oral pills or tablets. It is important to be aware that while finasteride is a medication, it is not a substitute for a healthy body. Finasteride works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to DHT. The medication will stop the conversion of testosterone to DHT, which will result in decreased hair growth in areas affected by hair loss.

This enzyme is responsible for converting testosterone to DHT. The inhibition of this enzyme can lead to the growth of new hair follicles in areas affected by hair loss.

Finasteride works by inhibiting the activity of the enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT in the scalp.

Finasteride will stop the conversion of testosterone to DHT in the body. It will have no effect on the production of DHT. As a result, you will not have any hair loss in the scalp.

Finasteride is available as an oral tablet and it comes in 5mg, 10mg, and 20mg tablets. It is usually taken once a day for a few months. It is important to follow your doctor’s dosage and to avoid taking any more than one tablet per day.

I was prescribed finasteride 5mg, and I was wondering if there is a generic option for finasteride. Is there a generic option or can I get a lower dose? I've looked at many different options online and none seem to be as effective or even safe. I'm a new mother of two, and I'm taking Propecia. My question is: What's the generic version of finasteride that can be purchased at Walmart and is it safe to buy from them? I know there are generics, but I want the cost down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Finasteride is a prescription medication, and it's important to have a doctor's prescription for the medication if you have any of the following conditions:

- Any medical condition you have, especially if it's affecting your thyroid function.

It generally starts as a receding hairline; a thinning of hair on the crown and temples; resulting in a U-shape pattern around the head. In some rare cases, a male may end up completely bald.
